Who Is This Course For?
This course is focused on dressmaking techniques and garment construction, rather than learning to sew from scratch. You should already:
✔️ Be confident using a sewing machine
✔️ Have completed at least two or three sewing projects
✔️ Understand basic seams, hems, and edge-neatening techniques
✔️ Have some experience with zips and buttonholes
If you’re new to sewing techniques or need a refresher, consider taking one of my Foundation Sewing Classes first.
Course Details & What to Bring:
- Bring your own pattern, fabric, thread, interfacing, zips, or buttons
- You may need calico (toile fabric) for test-fitting your garment
- A basic sewing kit: fabric shears, paper scissors, pins, tape measure, chalk pencils/fabric markers, pattern-making paper, dressmakers curved ruler
- Sewing machines are available in the studio, or you can bring your own
